The last time I blogged, Collin was one month old. He's four months old now and a lot has happened in between.
I'm going to back up to the beginning of July. On July 3rd our little Sara turned two! On the 4th of July we had Collin blessed at church and we had a birthday party for Sara.

Here we are after Collin's blessing. It's not the best family photo due to the melt downs the two girls were experiencing but it''s the only one we got.

Sara decided she wanted face painting at her party.
Our life started to get a little crazy around the end of June/beginning of July. At the end of June, Joe found out that he would be losing his job at the consulting firm he was working for in Baton Rouge. The good news was that he was going to have time to look for a new job, the bad news was that he couldn't find any jobs in the Baton Rouge area. Through a friend he was able to find a job in Memphis, TN (a really good job, too).
He started work around the middle of July and the kids and I stayed in Denham Springs hoping to sell the house then move. Things did not work out according to plans. Joe was working in TN during the week and driving home on the weekends and I was painting and cleaning and packing almost around the clock with three kids. Joe got tired of driving 12 hours every weekend and I was worn out (i.e. near nervous breakdown) from taking care of a 3 month old, 2 year old, and 4 year old by myself while trying to pack and get the house ready to sell. So, we decided to rent a small apartment in Memphis and live together as a family again and save me from losing it.
I don't know which was worse, trying to sell the house by myself or the homesickness since moving. I miss my family and friends more than I thought I would and I was pretty sure I was going to miss them a whole, whole lot. I especially miss my Bonnette people. After spending the first night away from Louisiana, I was ready to just turn around and come home and tell Joe I'd rather face unemployment than life away from my family. I'm surviving though. Joe loves his new job, Allison likes her preschool, we are starting to make new friends, and life's getting a little easier.
It has been a month and a half since we moved and plenty has happened since then and I'll have to fill that in next time.

Jaime I completely know where you are coming from on this one. When Jared moved to Louisiana before I did and I was still in Utah with a 1 year old and a newborn. What a challenge it is to try and get it done with little ones. Not to mention missing Jared and realizing how much he did for our family and then he was gone and I was trying to do it all by myself. I really appreciated him more after that. Love the pictures of the kids and look forward to more. Hang in there and you will get through it. Its hard when you don't have family around. We were gone for 10 1/2 years with out family around and it can be a challenge. Hope you meet new friend soon. Look forward to more updates.
Aww Jamie, reading this makes me really miss you! I can't imagine how difficult your life has been since July, but I know that you are such a positive person & probably handle it better than most people would! And just know that all of your friends in D.S. are here when you're ready to come for a visit!
Hi Jamie! I am so glad to see you have updated your blog. I had no idea any of this had happened. Wow, you have been busy!! I've been where you are and I know how difficult it can be sometimes. Give the new place a chance and you will start finding your place there, and the great thing about family is that the farther away you live, the move excited they get to see you!! Good luck. Love ya
We all miss you too!! Glad to hear things are starting to get better though. Hang in there, you'll be visiting before you know it!
Whoa...that is A LOT to deal with. We've actually heard Memphis is awesome. Hope things get better!! Hang in there.
